Sumerian society had social classes, or people with different levels of importance. There are three social classes
1. The highest social class is made up of the king, nobles, and scribes. (Sometimes other important people)
2. The middle social class is made up of merchants, craftworkers, managers, carpenters, potters, bricklayers, doctors, and scribes.
3. The lowest social class is made of laborers, unskilled workers, or slaves.
